Two friends, one hook

We're two college friends from Siliguri and Darjeeling. What started as a late-night hostel hobby — a borrowed hook, cold tea and very wobbly first coasters — became our first journey together: Loop & Lark.

We make creative crochet you won't find on a shelf: red pandas from the Darjeeling hills, tea cosies for first-flush mornings, bouquets that never wilt, and tiny charms with big personalities. Every piece is made by our own hands, one stitch at a time, and we only put our name on things we'd be proud to gift ourselves.

The Darjeeling Collection — tea cosies, toy-train charms, rhododendrons and red pandas. A little bit of home, crocheted.

How we make it

Everything you see on this page — every letter, every button — is drawn the way we make our pieces: from a single strand of yarn.

  1. Magic ring

Every piece begins the same way — one strand, one small loop, pulled tight. Nothing exists yet but a point.

  2. Round by round

Stitch by stitch, the shape grows outward. No machines, no shortcuts — just a hook, good cotton and patience.

  3. Fasten off

A final knot, the ends woven in, and a little label. Then it is ready to be loved for a very long time.

Good questions

Is everything really handmade?

Yes — every piece is crocheted by hand by the two of us in Siliguri and Darjeeling. Small amigurumi take 6–9 hours; blankets take weeks.

What yarn do you use?

Premium milk cotton and combed cotton for toys, flowers and baby pieces — soft, colour-fast and gentle on skin — and tightly twisted cotton for bags so they hold their shape.

Do you take custom orders?

We love them. Custom colours, names on baby pieces, bouquets for weddings and corporate gifting — message us and we will plan it together.

How is it packed?

Every order is wrapped by hand in premium, plastic-free packaging with tissue, a kraft gift box and a handwritten note — ready to give.

Do you ship across India?

Yes, from Siliguri to anywhere in India. Festive weeks fill up quickly, so order early for Diwali, Rakhi and Christmas.

How do I care for crochet?

Hand wash cold, press the water out in a towel and dry flat in the shade. Our journal has a full care guide.
